Species Information
Species Name: Thryptacodon barae
Thryptacodon barae was first described as an arctocyonid condylarth (Gingerich, 1989), but more recently McKenna and Bell (1997) classified this taxon as an oxyclaenid (Procreodi). Thus far, its range is restricted to Wa-0 locaities in the Clarks Fork and Bighorn Basins (Gingerich, 1989; Strait, 2001).
