Paleoview3D is an interactive 3D image library of fossil specimens. Point data for these images were acquired with a laser scanner and then converted into surface models. The results are high resolution images that can be viewed in 3D, magnified and rotated. Additionally, each image can also be downloaded as a data file so that detailed 3D measurements can be made. This database focuses on North American late Paleocene and early Eocene mammals, though check back later for further expansion (both taxonomically and temporally!).
